In a small town, on the square beside the old clock tower, there stood a carousel with horses. It wasn’t an ordinary carousel — each horse had a name and a secret of its own. There was a golden horse named Sunny, a snow-white one called Luna, and a tiny blue horse everyone called Droplet.
Every evening, when the square grew quiet and the lights blinked sleepily, the carousel came to life. The horses whispered stories to one another about the children who had ridden them during the day — about laughter, shy little hands, and wishes softly spoken into their ears.
Droplet dreamed the most. He wished that one day he could run for real, beyond the endless circle, feel the wind, and see the wide world. Sunny would gently tell him,
“Sometimes going around in circles can still bring joy.”
One night, something magical happened. A little girl left her smile behind on the carousel — so warm and true that magic spilled into the air. In that moment, the horses understood that they didn’t need to run far to be free. They were already travelers — in the hearts of children.
From then on, the carousel kept turning as always, but with even more light. And Droplet learned that sometimes the farthest journey is the one you make while carrying someone’s happiness.
And if you ever hear soft laughter near an old carousel, know this — the horses are still telling their sweet stories
